- Immutability/Transmutation Immunity/Form Retention prevents transformation.
- May require use to know the "science" behind the target they are changing.
- Transmutation that associated with another ability like Reality Warping can be highly dangerous as it gives them more range to affect objects, including themselves.
- Transmutation Reversal, Restoration, Flawless Restoration or Absolute Restoration can undo the transmutation.
- May be able to change only certain target types.
- May be limited on how much matter can be changed at once.
- May only be able to transmute objects between different different states of matter and also cannot change the mass of object (rules of conservation that occur in real life apply to alchemy)
- May not be able to turn transmutations back to their original states.
- Capability Retention users will retain their powers, ability to move, and intelligence intact, even when transformed into objects.
