- "Thanks to its unstable genetic makeup, this special Pokémon conceals many different possible evolutions."
- ― Eevee's Pokedex entry (Pokemon)
The power to possess an unstable/irregular genetic code. Variation of Genetics and Dependency.
Also Called
- Irregular Genetics
- Malleable Genetics
Capabilities
The user's DNA is highly unstable and/or irregular, rendering it malleable and prone to manipulation. This can enable such things as the user being able to shapeshift, evolve, and/or mutate themselves at will, though it may come at a cost.
A common variant of this is "clone degeneration," in which a genetic clone of a being is either flawed or defective due to unstable DNA.
Applications
Associations
Limitations
- The user's instability often comes with side effects, such as constant pain, Power Instability, and eventually even their deaths.
- Mutations and the like may be unpredictable.
