Capabilities
The user either is protected by or can grant protection of the power of prophecy, allowing them to survive any situation and come out on top because it has been written they will. In the most common form, the user is destined to die from a specific circumstance, and thus cannot die from anything else until their time comes.

As the arbiters of fate, the Whispers (Final Fantasy VII Remake) also determine when and how a person dies, intervening to save Reno from being killed by Cloud and resurrecting Barret when he was killed by Sephiroth because neither were meant to die at the time.
