Properties

Characters with a character class archetype are "part" of a system that gives special abilities depending on the class/category/job that the user's choice. Depending on the system used, users can, when possible, create a new original class or a new version of an existing class that has the abilities of the old one with certain improvements.

Character classes are separate from Physiology, though a character's physiology will often impact the set of character classes available to them.

Dungeons & Dragons Universe

In this franchise's universe, both PCs and NPCs usually have classes to which they are attuned to and often describe and attribute to a character's backstory and personality. It is possible to adopt a multi-class but is a harder feat to accomplish, often requiring the person to divide experience between two or more classes. Each class gives the user feats and abilities that can aid them in and out of battle.

High School DxD Universe

Users in this franchise's universe are devils (reincarnated ones if they were of another race like a dragon, human, youkai, etc.) that have one or more Evil Pieces, magic chess pieces used by the devil to increase their numbers by reincarnating other beings, inside them. The evil pieces are:

Log Horizon Universe

This franchise's universe is similar to the .Hack Universe, however, the classes differ, and tend to stick closer to established RPG classes. In addition, the players can further modify their classes through using different builds, and choosing a Subclass, which is independent of the Main Class can be chosen, and can be switched at any time.

Main Classes

Warrior
  • Guardian: The basic tank, with the highest DEF stat. There are several different builds for this, each capitalizing in the Guardian's ability to take large amounts of damage without dying. Builds include: the Fortress (one-handed sword and shield, most basic setup), the Crimson Knight (two-handed weapon with HP Absorption) and the Juggernaut (focuses on continuously using skills, rather than relying on auto attacks).
  • Samurai: This class is based on the ancient Japanese warriors, and is the Yamato server's replacement for the Pirate class. The Samurai specializes in using "Ace Skills", which are moves that chain a string of attacks together, in turn for long cooldowns, and sometimes rendering the user unable to move for a short period. Builds include: the Sword Samurai (frontline guard, which uses a katana and samurai-themed armor), and the Vengeance (focuses on counter-type skills).
  • Monk: A heavy hitter with the highest HP, that focuses on continuously attacking with its short cooldowns. Builds include: the Kung-Fu Monk (standard Monk build, with no gimmicks, who uses a set of basic grappling techniques) and the Kicker (hit-move-hit type fighter who uses skills that fling it at the enemy).
Weapon Attacks
  • Assassin: A purely offensive class that has the highest DPS. This class usually focuses on making use of its stealth abilities to either perform recon or sneak up and perform hard-hitting skills, though it can also perform well as a sniper type class, working from a safe distance. Builds include: the Shadow Blade (focuses on sneak attacks and burst damage), the Sniper (ranged weapons that trade damage for range), and the Sword Dancer (focuses on dealing constant damage with dual wielding weapons).
  • Swashbuckler: An offensive class that dual wields swords. Even though it has less HP and DEF than other classes, it is considered the best defender. Focuses on AOE attacks. Builds include: the Dual Blade (the standard build, with different styles of attacking depending on which weapons are used), the Fencer (single blade user. Focuses on using one-handed weapons, as opposed to two-handed ones, so as to gain a % bonus), and the Juggler (A rare build, due to ammunition costs, though weapons with Respawning/Returning can help make their life easier. Focuses on using dual-wielded throwing weapons).
  • Bard: A support class that has low combat prowess yet has the unique ability of song magic to support allies. Builds include: the Concertmaster (support song specialization), the Prima Actor (special attack specialization), and the Virtuoso (curse song specialization).
Recovery
  • Cleric: The basic healer, with the highest healing abilities. Builds include: the Armor Cleric (warrior priest that can support with low-range spells) and the High Healer (healer specialized for supporting from the back).
  • Druid: A healer that specializes in Heal-Over-Time spells, and can generate the greatest HP per Second recovery rate. In addition, they can use offensive abilities, making them the best rounded of all the healers, though they pay for their strengths with a constant need to manage their MP. Builds include: the Witch Doctor (standard build, which can branch out into other builds if there is enough leeway), the Shaman (blend between the healer aspects and the attacker aspects), and the Absorber (uses melee attacks to leech health from foes).
  • Kannagi: A healer with long cooldowns, and weak heals that focus on using barriers and damage interruptions to prevent damage before it can be dealt with. In addition, they can enact a skill called 'Evil Exorcism' to augment their attacks. Builds include: the Prayer Miko (standard build, usually relegated to the back lines), the War Miko (focuses on using their damage prevention skills on their self, then attacking with a katana or naginata), and the Bow Miko (a middle ground between the two others, using bows to attack, and using their skills on opponents as needed).
Magic Attacks
  • Sorcerer: The basic magic user, with the highest magic attack. There is only one build, mainly because any other build would be nigh impossible to pull off. This build, called the Nuker or Magical Battery, focuses on keeping enemies at maximum range, whilst bombarding them with spells.
  • Summoner: A straightforward class that relies on summoned beasts to do its bidding. For balance reasons, summoned beasts are only 1/3 their original strength, though they can be returned to their original power by releasing the contract. The builds are named based on which summons they specialize in, and are the Elementaler, the Necromancer, and the Puppermaster.
  • Enchanter: A support type mage with the highest MP stat. Builds include: the Enhancer (focused on supporting allies with buffs/debuffs), the Crowd Controller (focuses on using AOE debuffs), and the Mana Controller (focuses on redistributing mana to where it's needed).

Madness Combat Universe

In MADNESS: Project Nexus's Arena Mode, which sets in the past prior to Episode 1.5 of Madness: Project Nexus (Classic), the protagonist can have various Origins for themself. Depending on the Origin the protagonist chose, they will usually have one focused skill, and one weak skill, those with focus skills can get the highest abilities within that skill focus, whereas skill weakness will usually bar the protagonist from selecting the 3rd core of the weakened skill as well as any traits that require the 3rd core.

  • Noob: This Origin can do anything yet is best at nothing, yet is also very customizable.

The Offering has a chance to summon ghosts from beyond the enemy corpses to fight alongside them and can brutally take down their enemies. Their throwing weapons will also automatically pass through the enemies when they take a certain amount of damage, hitting anyone beyond them.
  • Creber: This Origin specializes in melee weapons, as the trade-off for their poor agility and throwing weapon skill. Despite them having only one Corpus Block, Creber instead makes their clones up to 3 depending on their current Core Melee skill level. They can also swap control between their clones.
  • Massive: This Origin specializes in unarmed combat as the trade-off for their poor agility and throwing weapon skill. The Massive can enlarge themself by learning and mastering skills.

Titanfall Universe

Users in this franchise's universe are mostly Pilots and Titans. The Titans have various variants and chassis, while the Pilots have various loadouts, one of which will be suitable for them.

Pilot Loadouts

Several types of Pilots have been seen employed by the IMC and Militia, sporting different armor, equipment and helmets depending on role, gender and faction. It should be noted that while many Pilots sport standard gear that is mass-manufactured, most Pilots will undergo a "rite of passage" at some point in their service, in which they will construct or create personalized equipment.

  • Rifleman: Generic pilots that specialize in the usage of Carbines, Assault Rifles, Battle Rifles and Light Machine Guns.
  • CQB: These Pilots typically sport lighter gear and, notably, open faces to allow them to blend with regular infantry. They typically operate CQB loadouts featuring Smart Pistols, Shotguns and SMGs.
  • Assassin: Assassins are Pilots that utilize their prowess in parkour to reach high towers and ledges, for concealment. They are highly trained marksmen who use weapons like the Longbow-DMR Sniper and Kraber-AP Sniper.
  • Heavy Pilot: Pilots operating heavy armor and equipment such as robotic arms, ghillie suits and the A-Wall or Cloak.
  • Grapple: Pilots equipped with grappling hooks.
  • Holo Pilot: Pilots sporting (what appear to be) EOD vests and Hologram technology.
  • Spectre Camo: Certain Pilots choose to rid themselves of the human form entirely, preferring to become Spectres. These Pilots are rare, however, and seem to have been replaced by Simulacrum Pilots utilizing Phase Shift and a significantly more powerful version of Stim.
  • Pulse Blade: Pilots equipped with the aforementioned Tactical Ability, likely with equipment designed to pick up the sonar pulses emitted by the Blade.

Titan Variants

There are several variants of Titan employed throughout The Frontier. All currently employed variants, with the exception of the Vanguard and Monarch, are based on the Atlas, Ogre and Stryder-Class Titans.

Pre-Demeter Variants

Prior to the Battle of Demeter, Titans had highly customizable loadouts and flexible designs, based on Pilot preference. This is likely due to the increased availability and lower costs for construction while supply lines to the Core Systems were intact. Those variants employed after the destruction of the Demeter gateway (See below) are much more specialized and less flexible in their roles.

  • Atlas: The workhorse of the Titan world and has served in some form or another for countless decades, and likely will continue to for countless more. Equipped with the Damage Core and two dashes, the Atlas is a versatile middle-road Titan.
  • Ogre: A Heavy Titan. Its heavy armor and Shield Core make up for any speed it might lack on the battlefield.
  • Stryder: Hammond Robotics' premiere in fast-attack Titan design, the Stryder is a lightweight, agile Titan suited for hit-and-run attacks with its Dash Core.
Post-Demeter Variants

In the wake of the Battle of Demeter, Titan variants have become much more rigid in their deployment and structure, likely due to resource and material shortages incurred by the loss of many vital IMC robotics factories. These variants do not possess recharging energy shields and have one less dash available to them than their Pre-Demeter counterparts (With the exception of Ogre Titans). Their loadouts are also mostly static, likely to make mass production and field repair of standard components easier and less resource intensive.

  • Ion: An Atlas-based Titan designed around the operation of Directed Energy Weapons (DEWs) such as the Laser Shot, Splitter Rifle and Laser Core. Ion's aforementioned abilities, along with her Vortex Shield, all drain energy from a shared energy pool.
  • Scorch: An Ogre-based Heavy Titan designed around the operation of incendiary weapons. Scorch employs thermite and fire to burn through clustered targets and heavily wooded areas.
  • Northstar: A Stryder-based Titan, designed around the use of the Plasma Railgun and the use of flight.
  • 'Ronin: A CQC-based Stryder Titan that combines maneuverability, agility, a shotgun and a Broadsword to wreak havoc among enemy lines.
  • Tone: Named after its use of Sonar, Atlas-based Tone combines the 40mm Tracker Cannon with missile barrages to deal heavy damage.
  • Legion: A heavy Titan of Ogre descent, Legion employs a large rotary cannon and aggressive sustained counterfire to deal an unrelenting field of fire upon potential enemies.
  • Monarch: A Vanguard-based titan created by Vinson Dynamics who wields the XO16A2 Chaingun. Monarch had a rearm ability along with a Rocket Salvo and an Energy Siphon that makes her a threat on the battlefield.
Others
  • Vanguard: A Militia homebrew Titan design, designed for covert operations behind enemy lines and adaptation to various combat situations.

TYPE-MOON/Fate Universe

Users in this franchise's universe are legendary spirits (normally of human origin) called "Servants".
